The Quality Assurance Factory®, QAF, is an undertaking started by Grupo Pragma Consultores in 2000. QAF's aim is to provide Quality Assurance and Control services for our clients’ software products across the world.

The factory concept entails two important attributes: on the one hand, a cost-effective service by means of serializing activities and on-demand remote work; on the other hand, an integral process achieved by means of complying with standards and better international practices and activity standardization.

We have developed our own Quality Assurance and Control methodology. It is the result of a careful selection of the best existing practices in this field worldwide, the experience gained from the projects and the application of the most important quality standards.

An independent position facing the big vendors enables us to suggest the most adequate option for our clients by considering the needs in each project.
Different kinds of tools may be used in those projects, from top commercial products to open-source or tailor-made alternatives, from management solutions to automation and stress tools.

Additionally, Grupo Pragma Consultores has developed its own tools to support work processes, our own methodology and its services: docTesting© is a Quality Assurance and Control project management tool that enables the management of projects, software requirements, test cases and problems, among other things. We also own a support tool for code review that enables the execution of good programming rules on the code and the analysis of the results obtained in order to filter false positives. In addition, we have developed a set of tools to support Data Quality activities. The Data Quality Toolkit (dqT®) is an application that enables the analysis of data and the creation of scripts to correct them.

These tools may be used in data migration projects and in activities to control, diagnose, improve and maintain data quality. They have a knowledge base that may be enriched as well as modules for standardization, matching, enrichment, knowledge base control, GIS and integrity check (completeness, referential integrity, password control), among others.

To improve the cost/benefit relation for our customers, we provide services on a remote basis. This manner of working enables us to maintain in their offices multiple configurations on which the product may be tested, reducing costs for both client and supplier (for example, in workstations, machine configurations, tools, start-up times, etc.).
